Welcome to the Trachtenkapelle Friesenhofen

We are a traditional amateur wind band of 43 musicians from the small village of Friesenhofen, home to around 800 people in southern Germany, close to the Austrian and Swiss borders.

Friesenhofen lies in the Allgäu, a picturesque region at the foot of the Alps, and belongs to the town of Leutkirch. Traditional wind bands are a vital part of cultural life here — almost every village has its own.

We perform at a wide range of secular and church events throughout our community, from evening concerts and parades to village festivals, weddings, birthdays, and funerals.

 

Beyond our local engagements, we love taking our music further afield. We regularly tour within Germany and have performed abroad in Brazil, the United States, Switzerland, France, and Italy (South Tyrol).

We rehearse every Tuesday — and Fridays when needed — at our rehearsal room, the „Alte Schule“ in Friesenhofen. New musicians are always welcome to join our orchestra!
