Welcome to the Trachtenkapelle Friesenhofen
We are a traditional amateur wind orchestra with 43 musicians from the small village of Friesenhofen. Our village has around 800 inhabitants and is located in the south of Germany, close to the borders of Austria and Switzerland.

Friesenhofen lies in the Allgäu region, the picturesque area at the foothills of the Alps. We are part of the city of Leutkirch. In this region, traditional wind orchestras are an important part of cultural life—almost every village has its own band.
We perform at a wide range of secular and ecclesiastical events within our community. Typical occasions include evening entertainments, concerts, parades, village festivities, weddings, birthdays, and funerals.

Beyond our local engagements, we also enjoy taking our music on the road. We regularly go on national concert tours and have performed internationally in Brazil, the United States, Switzerland, France, and Italy (South Tyrol).
Rehearsals take place every Tuesday—and Fridays if needed—in our rehearsal room, the “Alte Schule” in Friesenhofen. We are always happy to welcome new musicians to strengthen our orchestra.
